Meet Dr. Lance Bruntz

Lance Q. Bruntz, DMD, MSD

I'm fortunate to be in a profession that transforms lives on a daily basis! Having a great smile is important to many people. It instills self confidence, promotes personal pride, enhances overall health and is many times the first thing people notice when they meet you. It truly is rewarding to help so many people in this way.  I’m also blessed to have a great supporting team to help share in my passion as well.   We pride ourselves on great customer service and the highest quality of orthodontics we can deliver. We look forward to helping create the perfect smile for you!

Education

As a native Nevadan, I was born in Yerington and raised in Carson City where I graduated from Carson High School. I earned my Bachelors degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating with distinction. I then received my Doctorate with honors from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. As part of my continuing education, I was granted the award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oro-Facial Complex by the American Association of Orthodontics in 2001. Additionally, I was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society. Upon completion of my dental degree, I attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio to complete my residency in Orthodontics and was granted my Masters degree in dentistry after defending my thesis.

Continuing Education

Our practice is known for delivering the most advanced, leading edge orthodontics available.  To keep on top of this ever-changing technology, we make it a priority to attend as many local and national orthodontic and dental meetings as possible.  I am an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the prestigious Schulman Study Group, the Seattle Study Club, and the Sierra Society of Dental Excellence.   I also serve as a delegate to the Northern Nevada Dental Association.

In the Office

I love coming to work everyday.  My farvorite part is seeing how excited patients are to get started in treatment and how enthusiastic they are the day they get them off.  It's also fun to see how the kids grow and change into young adults, as well as witnessing the overwhelming joy some adults have as we give them the smile they have always wanted.   We have a terrific staff that loves to take care of our patients.  They recieve numerous compliments on a daily basis of how nice they are and how much it shows that they love what they do.

SureSmile is also an awesome part of our practice.  We are the most experienced SureSmile provider in the nation, which is fun to brag about.  It really has motivated me to become a better orthodontist and makes me proud knowing that I'm creating the best smile and bite possible in the shortest time.  In my residency program, I never thought I would be using 3D computer software, robots, and space-age, temperature activated wires to create personalized finishing wires.  Braces have really changed in just a matter of years!

Life at Home

My wife, Tracy, and I have a son named Landon and a new baby, Carrigan. We also have a Beagle named Nyobi. In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities including golf, jet skiing, wakeboarding, mountain biking, camping, hiking, snow skiing and snowboarding. I love adrenaline sports! From racing cars and go-karts to bungee jumping and mountain biking, if it goes fast, I like it!  My most enjoyable time is spent with my kids though.  I love watching them grow and mature.  From reading with my son to teaching him how to ski and playing picnic with my daughter to dancing around the room with her, children are definitly what life is worth living for!
