COVID-19 Update

To our valued patients and family members,

We appreciate your continued trust and patience with us at Orthodontic Partners as we’ve followed our State’s directives to remain closed for regular patient care over the last six weeks. We are excited to share that yesterday the Nevada State Dental Board, along with Governor Sisolak, lifted certain restrictions for dental care in Nevada, effective Monday, May 4th. This allows us to open our offices to care for our current patients to make sure their treatment is progressing in a safe manner. While this will allow us to monitor and progress the treatment for the majority of our patients, procedures that potentially create aerosols in the office, like removing braces or Invisalign attachments, are still restricted. We hope to be able to resume these procedures as soon as possible, but for now, we must continue to postpone until further notice.

Orthodontic Partners will continue to follow strict infection control and sterilization guidelines, but as our offices reopen we will be implementing additional safety procedures in order to keep our patients, family members, and our employees as safe as possible and help reduce transmission of COVID-19. To help maintain social distancing and limit unnecessary contact between patients and family members, we will be lightening our schedule to reduce the number of patients in each office at a given time. We are also required by the state board and governing dental bodies to do the following:

  • Check temperatures of all patients and family members entering the office
  • Have every patient and accompanying family member fill out and sign a COVID-19 questionnaire
  • Ask patients and family members to bring and wear a mask when entering and exiting the building
  • Have patients wash their hands at our hand washing station before every appointment
  • Ask that family member remain in their cars unless accompanying younger children to their appointment
  • Increase PPE (personal protection equipment such as masks, face shields, and gowns) worn by all employees along with more advanced infection control procedures

When you arrive for your appointment you will be greeted outside by one of our team members to help fill out the questionnaire, take the patient’s temperature, and escort the patient into the office when your appointment time is ready. We ask that family members remain in the car during the patient’s appointment, with the exception of one parent who may accompany younger patients. Waiting rooms, restrooms, beverage, and ice cream areas, will remain closed at this time. Please bring and wear a mask while entering and exiting the office and wash your hands at our hand washing station.

We will try to see as many patients as possible over the next few weeks, but some patient appointments may still need to be postponed based on the current restrictions. We may ask some patients to change their appointments to a different office to help reduce congestion and allow better social distancing at all our locations. Our scheduling team will be reaching out to help find an appointment that works best for you and allows us to comply with the mandates we are required to follow in order to keep everyone safe.
